Todd's uncle Johnson always kept lots of garlic at home and there was a cross in every corner of his house, even his fence was made up of crosses and there was a big cross on top of his roof, just like a church. Just across the road from his home was an ancient house. Its windows and doors were boarded up for centuries and no one rented or sold it. Local people used to say that one can hear screeching of a bat from inside the home and many people also reported seeing shadow of a tall and lanky man in the window, on the upper floor, which was the only one not covered with boards.

Despite the long time for which the house had not been used, it always used to look clean. There was not even a single leaf in the backyard. The bats seemed to love the place and at night, a number of bats used to appear there, as if from nowhere. According to the folklore, the house was ‘lived-in’ by a real vampire. Many people were reported to have died inexplicably in front of the house. Their eyes used to be wide open, as if they had seen something horrible when they died. It was also a site where accidents used to occur quite frequently.

It was said that the vampire of the house opposite that of Uncle Johnson’s, used to reveal his face to his victims only. People also said that he was so ugly that people had a heart attack at the very instant they saw him and this is why they died. Then, when they were buried, the vampire used to dig up their graves and sucked their blood to feed himself. The legend also went that anyone who passed a dare in the name of the vampire would get to see how he looks and will die a painful death at the hands of the vampire. Would you like to give it a try?

The night. Nobody at home. She finished her cup of green tea and went to bed. Today was a very difficult day. She was tired. Lazily off his slippers, she collapsed on krovat.Okno was open, and walked around the room a breeze. Star was not visible, but the round moon illuminated the treacherous silhouettes, casting frightening shadows. For some time she had watched the curtains, which the wind was blowing gently. His eyes slowly closed. Sleep beckoned her. Warm thoughts warmed by helping her get to sleep faster. There was a sharp squeak. What is it? Likely draft. Not paying attention to this, she continued to dive into a world of warm memories and relaxing sleep.

>From the kitchen came the sound of dishes crashed:

- You will die. You must surely die, - whispered a hoarse voice.

-Who is here? - She opened her eyes dramatically.

-Do you hear? You will die! I said so. You will die! - Continued to repeat the vote. He called horror. It was hardly something earthly. None of the human body was not able to pronounce so hoarse and at the same time, loudly and clearly.

-Who is here? Get out! - Not a little frightened girl.

-Die, die ... - whispering voice.

Fear gripped her. In a panic, she tried to find my phone, but to no avail. She was afraid to leave the room.

Die-... - could be heard all around.

She huddled in the corner. Pulse seemed to pierce the head, heart - stop by a furious pace. Began to hear other voices:

-Remember ... you die ... Today ... Soon ... Wait ... - they could hear the chaotic few legible.

Sitting in the corner, she could not bring himself to move. Fear gripped her. The hands were shaking convulsively. Brain ceased to think properly. It echoed a thousand times displayed the words "Die, die." Slammed the window. Looks like the wind raged in earnest.

No, no! Please! - She moaned, 'Do not!

So, it should be. Today.

She began to beat the wall, hoping to wake the neighbors, but to no avail. She tried to get up but fell again. Wheeze increased. "I can not wait I would have died, the girl thought, - it would be quickly over."

Beginning to turn gray. Morning slowly bleached the moon. Exhausted, she tried to stand. The voice is definitely heard from the kitchen. She gathered his last strength to look death in the eye. Based on the walls, she slowly moved toward the kitchen. The voice became more legible and ferocity. She lost consciousness and soon came to himself, fell and rose. Opened the door and saw ... no telly off with some cheap program about Halloween.

In-screwed! - She thought, and fell to sleep =)

Morristown

George Washington was driving back to Morristown from Summit when a blizzard came blowing down upon his carriage. The snow was blowing so hard that it was difficult to see. They were driving slowly down the road when the General looked through the window and saw a poor child – a pretty little brown-haired girl – staggering through the rapidly deepening drifts of snow. Washington called to my driver to stop and pick her up, thinking he could give her a ride to her home. The carriage stopped beside her. Then, just as the driver got down from the carriage, she vanished. The men looked around for her, and realized there were no child’s footprints in the snow.

Puzzled, they stopped at a local house to inquire after the child, and learned that the little girl had been drowned in a cistern several years ago, and her ghost continued to walk the section of the road on which they had been traveling that evening. It was said that the little girl had sometimes saved other children from accidents, and that her spirit was there to protect travelers. While he was still assimilating this information, General Washington received word of a British ambush that was foiled by the revolutionaries loyal to the General. If he had not stopped the carriage to speak to the ghost, General Washington would have been caught in the ambush and captured or killed.
